Easter 2026: What’s on in Robe, South Australia

Robe is the place to be at the best of times, but across the Easter long weekend there’s a buzz in town that can’t be beat. From live music and an Easter fete, to sell-out hot cross buns and an epic surf competition, here’s what’s happening in 2026.

Robe Primary School Easter Fete

On Saturday 4 April, Robe Primary School holds its annual Easter Fete. Head to the school oval for kids amusements and rides – jumping castles, rock climbing, a petting zoo and laser tag included – plus a bunch of food and drink options. There’ll be doughnuts, a barbeque, coffee van and bar. Entry is just a gold donation, so spend your extra coins on the mega raffle if you’re feeling lucky!

Robe Easter Surf Classic

This year marks the 58th Robe Easter Surf Classic, one of Australia’s longest-running surfing competitions. It’s a mobile comp, meaning the location (and sometimes day) changes yearly depending on conditions, so ask the Robe locals on Good Friday exactly where and when to see the surfers hit the swell. Take snacks and a blanket to sit on – the action will keep you transfixed for hours.

Pick your own dahlias

Want to have the most stunning Easter lunch table flower arrangements you can imagine? Head 15 minutes out of Robe to Starling Flower Farm on Saturday 4 April (or Thursday 2 April if you're in town early) for a magical morning of flower picking. You’ll go home with a big bucket of gorgeous dahlias, not to mention a bunch of print-worthy photographs and special memories. Book here, and hurry – this popular event is bound to sell out.

Live music

Get your diary (and your dancing shoes) out – the list of live music events happening in Robe all across the Easter long weekend is long! Kicking off on Good Friday, Greg Gokavi-Whaley will be strumming his guitar at Woodsoak Wines from 4-7pm, and there’ll be live music at the Robe Hotel all afternoon.

On Saturday 4 April, you’re spoiled for choice. Heidi Moncrieff will be at Wangolina Wine Cellar Door from 1-4pm, Amadeus Wolf at Cape Jaffa Wines from 1pm (he’s playing on Sunday too, so don’t stress if you don’t make it), and Longbeach Pickers at Woodsoak Wines from 4-7pm. When all that’s done, walk down to the Robe Hotel for more.

On Easter Sunday, 5 April, Sarah Shepherd will be at Woodsoak Wines to serenade you in the courtyard from 4-7pm, and Amadeus Wolf at Cape Jaffa Wines from 1pm. And – you guessed it – expect more at the Robe Hotel.

Round out your Easter long weekend with Stating the Obelisk at Woodsoak Wines on Monday 6 April from 5-7pm.

Farmers & Makers Market

Buy direct from local Limestone Coast growers, producers and creatives at the Farmers & Makers Market on Sunday 5 April. You’ll find seasonal fruit and veg, crafts and goodies galore – perfect additions to your Easter Sunday lunch – at the Robe Institute Lawns from 9am.

Food, food, food!

Outside of Robe’s usual outstanding food and drink offerings, there are some Easter specials you don’t want to miss out on including food by Good Gilbert at Wangolina Cellar Door and a kids-eat-free promotion at the Robe Hotel on Sunday 5 April.

The Pastry Place will be selling its unbeatable hot cross buns all weekend, and the same goes for Rise of Robe with its sourdough bread (the best bread in Robe!) and Portuguese tarts. Line up from 9am and 8.30am respectively – these treats sell out fast.
