Day One: Robe Coastal Walks and Mount Benson Wineries
Begin your first morning with a coffee from Drift Café before setting out along the Guichen Bay cliff track. The walk from Hooper’s Beach to Long Beach, via the Outlet, offers beautiful coastal scenery especially in the morning, when the beaches and trails are quieter and the coastal winds are generally lighter. Head out early enough and you may catch Robe’s morning swimmers entering the water from First Ramp at the beginning of Long Beach.
The coastal trail will help you work up an appetite for a hearty brunch at The Union, followed by some downtime at your ORBE stay.
An Afternoon Among the Mount Benson Wineries
In the afternoon, the Mount Benson wine region awaits. Allow around 20 minutes to drive from central Robe, with the cellar doors located within a short drive of one another.
Begin at Wangolina Wines with a Chip ’n Sip tasting flight before continuing to Norfolk Rise for a glass of Pinot Grigio and mulberry ice cream. Cross the road to Cape Jaffa Wines for a cheese platter on the deck overlooking the vineyards. Beer lovers can instead take a brewery tour with Cape Jaffa’s brother label, Loophole Brewing Co. With indoor and undercover spaces available at each venue, the Mount Benson wine region is an easy outing in any weather.
Do not forget to pick up a bottle of your favourite local wine to enjoy beside the fireplace when you return to your ORBE stay.
Pet-friendly All three venues welcome dogs, making the Mount Benson wine region an easy outing for guests travelling with their pooch.
Family-friendly Norfolk Rise has a sandpit and toys for little ones, while all three venues offer plenty of space for children to move around.
Bookings Brewery tours should be booked in advance. Reserving a table is also recommended during school holidays, long weekends and busy summer periods.
Sunset at the Robe Obelisk
Arrive back in Robe in time to explore the Obelisk cliff track as the sun begins to sink over the ocean. The final hour before sunset is the best time to visit, when the limestone cliffs and red-and-white Obelisk catch the golden light.
Collect a takeaway pizza from La Diga on the way home and enjoy it beside the wood burner – the perfect ending to your first day in Robe.
Day Two: Robe’s Main Street, Local Food and Heritage
Start the morning by picking up freshly baked pastries from The Pastry Place, choosing between something sweet or one of their famous savoury pasties. Continue to Rise of Robe for a loaf of fresh sourdough or one of their much-loved Portuguese tarts.
Take your treats back to your ORBE stay, then ease into the day with a morning sauna and a slow wind-down before heading out to explore Robe.
Both bakeries produce in limited quantities and popular items can sell out, so an early visit is recommended. Trading days may vary throughout the year, so check their social pages before setting out.
Meet Robe’s Makers and Creators
When you are ready to venture back out, stroll along Robe’s main street and take your time exploring its locally owned boutiques, bakeries, galleries, homewares stores, ice creamery and chocolatier. With such a diverse collection of independent businesses, there is something to discover behind almost every shopfront.
Wander the Karatta Wines Art Gallery with a vino in hand from their adjoining cellar door. Woodsoak Wines is another inviting main street spot to settle in with a glass of local wine and watch Robe go by.
As you wander through the heart of town, take in Robe’s heritage charm and pause at the blue plaques dotted throughout the streets. Each one shares a small piece of the history behind the town’s local and state heritage-listed buildings.

For lunch, pick up a fresh local crayfish platter from Sky Seafoods and enjoy a slow, leisurely feast back at your ORBE stay.
A Night at The Cally and Ardo Restaurant
As evening arrives, head toThe Caledonian Inn- known locally as ‘The Cally’ - for a glass of wine beside the open fire. From there, simply cross the road for dinner at Ardo Restaurant (closed for renovations - back open September 2026).
A dinner reservation at Ardo is strongly recommended, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, during long weekends and throughout the Summer holiday period.
Day Three: Forest Walk and Outdoor Adventure in Robe
Start the morning with a walk through the Beacon Hill bike tracks - known as ‘the forest’ by locals. The network of winding trails leads beneath tall trees and through pockets of native bushland, offering a peaceful alternative to Robe’s coastal walks.
Sheltered from much of the wind and weather, it is a great option year-round, particularly on cooler or overcast mornings. Take an easy wander along the wider tracks or explore a little further before heading back into town for coffee and breakfast.
Choose Your Robe Adventure
Spend the afternoon discovering a different side of Robe. Tee off at Robe Golf Club, explore the dunes and coastline on a guided 4WD tour, or take to the water for a peaceful kayak through Robe’s inland lakes.

Located just a few minutes from the centre of town, Robe Golf Club offers visitors the choice of 6, 12 or 18 holes. Booking a tee time is recommended, particularly if you require a golf cart or club hire.

For something a little unexpected, head to Humpalicious Camel Farm in Mount Benson. Join a morning milking tour to meet the herd, hand-feed the camel babies and sample camel milk gelato, or take an afternoon Solar Camel Safari through the paddocks in an electric buggy. It is a memorable, family-friendly experience, with advance bookings required.
Finish at Robe Town Brewery
Finish your three days at Robetown Brewery, tucked away in Robe’s industrial area. The rustic brewery shed comes alive during its afternoon sessions, with live music, open-mic performances and plenty of local characters adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Order a tasting paddle and settle in for an easy final afternoon before heading back into town for dinner.
Robe Town Brewery does not generally take table bookings, although large groups are encouraged to let the team know they are coming. It is also dog-friendly inside and outside, making it an easy final stop for guests travelling with their pooch.
